Montana motorcycle helmet law

Annotated code of Montana (MCA section 61-9-417) requires that passengers, the under 18 years old and motorcycle operators are "protective headgear", while driving on a road or street. The Ministry of Justice of the Montana has the power to establish standards for approved helmet. ApplicabilityMCA 61-9-417 applies only to children is a bike or horse riding as a passenger on a motorcycle on a road or path. Protective headgear (helmet) are not necessary for the operators or motorcycle passengers who are under 18 years old or older.State helmet StandardsThe Automotive Division of the Department of Justice in Montana standards of approved motorcycle helmet (Mt. 23.3.417) established. (Rule) has this rule by the American national standard (ANSI) standard headphones 290 1-1971 established standards institution adopted, and the Federal motor vehicle safety standard (FMVSS) in accordance with 49 CFR section 571.218.Federal StandardsThe helmet headset of federal standards set by 49 CFR section 571.218 are quite complex. Standards require labelling of all helmets with the names of the manufacturers, design-model-specific, size, month and year of manufacture, MTC guide icon and the buyer.
